Easy White Frosting

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
2 egg whites
1 tsp vanilla

Put sugar and water in pan. Stir till sugar is dissolved. Cook till it spins a thread*. Pour gradually on stiff beaten egg whites. Beat till it spreads good. Add vanilla.


*The term "spins a thread" is a candy-making term that explains the thread that appears between the spoon and candy when the spoon is lifted and turned.
