Persimmon Cookies

1 egg, well beaten
1 cup Persimmon pulp
1/4 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1 cube butter
1 tsp baking soda

Mix the above egg mixture all together in a large bowl. 

2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 cup raisins
1 cup nuts

Sift the dry ingredients then add the raisins and nuts. Combine with egg mixture. Drop onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 12-13 minutes. 

Favorite Oatmeal Cookies

1 cup shortening
3/4 cups brown sugar
3/4 cups white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups flour
2 cups oatmeal
1 cup coconut
1 6 oz pk chocolate chips
1 cup raisins

Mix shortening and sugar together, add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients and oatmeal. Mix in coconut. Add chocolate chips, walnuts and raisins. Mix well. Drop by tsps full on cookie sheet. Bake for 9-11 minutes in 375 oven.

Walnut Bars

1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 egg
1/2 cup flour

Stir together all ingredients. Bake 20 minutes at 350.

Old Time Cinnamon Rolls

Take left over biscuit dough and pinch off about the size of a biscuit and roll out thin. In the center put 2 Tbs butter. Put sugar and cinnamon on the butter and fold the dough over and bake at 350 until done.

Texas Buckeye Cookies

2 sticks Oleo (margarine)
12 oz peanut butter
1 1/2 cups graham crackers
1/2 cup nuts
1 cup coconut
1 Tbs vanilla
12 oz chocolate chips
1/2 stick paraffin

Melt butter and mix in next 6 ingredients. Roll into balls and place on wax paper. In top of double boiler, melt the chocolate chips and paraffin. Dip balls in melted mixture and place on wax paper to cool.



Hello Dolly Cookies

1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cup crushed graham crackers
1 12oz pkg butterscotch chips
1 12oz pkg chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 can eagle brand sweetened cream

Melt butter in a 9x13 inch pan and sprinkle onto crushed crackers. Mix well. Sprinkle chips and walnuts on top. Pour sweet cream over and bake at 350 for 15 minutes.



Oatmeal Cookies

3/4 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup water
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups uncooked oatmeal
1 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp soda

Beat shortening, sugar, eggs, water and vanilla until creamy. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Drop by teaspoons full onto cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes.



Chocolate No-Bake Cookies

1/2 cup cocoa
1 stick oleo (margarine)
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
3 cups oats
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla

Combine in sauce pan the cocoa, oleo, sugar and milk. Bring to boil for 1 minute. Add oats, peanut butter and vanilla. Drop on wax paper until cool and set.



Black Walnut Applesauce Cookies

1 cup applesauce
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup black walnuts
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup butter
1 cup raisins

Cream butter and sugar. Add in egg and applesauce. Add inn raisins and nuts. Mix flour, soda, salt and spices together then add into creamed mixture. Drop by teaspoons full on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 12 to 15 minutes.
